It was all joy for the trainees at the GREECO organic farm in Fort Portal as they came to the end of their long hands on and green skilling training under the “Expansion of the green colleges project”.
The project funded by German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and Welthungerhilfe and implemented together with Joint Effort to Save the Environment-JESE, BBC and MTI supports 16 institutions under the Rwenzori Green College Foundation where GREECO is part.

The trainees were offered a number of start up kits including but not limited to bicycles, wheelbarrows, spades among others. The trainees also showcased their products during the graduation.
The project aims at improving the employability and income levels of young people by promoting vocational training in green skills in the Rwenzori region specifically Fort Portal, Bunyangabu and Kasese.
