The digital marketing training held at Bunyangabu Beekeepers Cooperative (BBC) was a three-
day event aimed at enhancing the digital presence and marketing capabilities of 16 member
organizations in the network and building their capacity to do the same. The training was
supported by WWH through the Rwenzori Green College Foundation and brought together
media and marketing officers from the participating organizations, including seven women and
nine men.

A number of topics were covered including among others,
Introduction to Digital Marketing: Understanding digital marketing and its importance.
• Social Media Statistics: An overview of social media usage trends in Uganda and
globally.
• Types of Digital Marketing Channels: Differentiating between digital and traditional
marketing methods.
• Audience Analysis: Learning the components of audience analysis to better target
marketing efforts.
• Digital Marketing Strategy: How to create an effective digital marketing plan.
• Pitching Techniques: Types of pitches, including elevator pitches, and practical exercises
to enhance communication skills.

The training successfully equipped the participating organizations with the skills and tools
needed to improve their digital marketing efforts. As emphasized during the sessions,
maintaining and actively engaging with these platforms is critical to their success in the digital
space and a number of platforms such as X (formerly twitter), facebook, linkedin for different organisations were created.
