The post Memories of  Rwenzori Green College Foundation Uganda Limited (RGCF) Organized an Exhibition at Verina gardens in December, 2023 at Verina Gardens Kasese first appeared on Rwenzori Green College Foundation.

It was all joy for the trainees at the GREECO organic farm in Fort Portal as they came to the end of their long hands on and green skilling training under the “Expansion of the green colleges project”.

The project funded by German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and Welthungerhilfe and implemented together with Joint Effort to Save the Environment-JESE, BBC and MTI supports 16 institutions under the Rwenzori Green College Foundation where GREECO is part.

The trainees were offered a number of start up kits including but not limited to bicycles, wheelbarrows, spades among others. The trainees also showcased their products during the graduation.

The project aims at improving the employability and income levels of young people by promoting vocational training in green skills in the Rwenzori region specifically Fort Portal, Bunyangabu and Kasese.

The digital marketing training held at Bunyangabu Beekeepers Cooperative (BBC) was a three-
day event aimed at enhancing the digital presence and marketing capabilities of 16 member
organizations in the network and building their capacity to do the same. The training was
supported by WWH through the Rwenzori Green College Foundation and brought together
media and marketing officers from the participating organizations, including seven women and
nine men.

A number of topics were covered including among others,

Introduction to Digital Marketing: Understanding digital marketing and its importance.
• Social Media Statistics: An overview of social media usage trends in Uganda and
globally.
• Types of Digital Marketing Channels: Differentiating between digital and traditional
marketing methods.
• Audience Analysis: Learning the components of audience analysis to better target
marketing efforts.
• Digital Marketing Strategy: How to create an effective digital marketing plan.
• Pitching Techniques: Types of pitches, including elevator pitches, and practical exercises
to enhance communication skills.

The training successfully equipped the participating organizations with the skills and tools
needed to improve their digital marketing efforts. As emphasized during the sessions,
maintaining and actively engaging with these platforms is critical to their success in the digital
space and a number of platforms such as X (formerly twitter), facebook, linkedin for different organisations were created.

To enhance the online presence of the Network and its members, a new website has been launched and will be continuously improved as members contribute to updating its content. This initiative aims to encourage collective online marketing, particularly for members who currently lack an online presence. The Network remains committed to supporting them in expanding their digital footprint through the Network website.
